  • 1/2 cup Fresh pesto Store-bought or homemade
  • 1 cup Cheese (e.g., mozzarella or cheddar) Choose cheese that melts well
  • 2 pieces Tortilla or wrap bread Use your preferred type of wrap
Optional Toppings
  • 1 cup Lettuce Chopped (optional)
  • 1 medium Tomato Sliced (optional)
  • Salt and pepper To taste

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Grill the chicken until cooked through, then slice it into strips.
  2. Spread a layer of fresh pesto on each tortilla or wrap bread.
  3. Layer the grilled chicken on top of the pesto.
  4. Add cheese and any additional toppings like lettuce or tomato if desired.
  5. Roll up the wrap tightly, folding in the sides as you go.
  6. Optionally, grill the wrap for a couple of minutes to melt the cheese.
  7. Cut in half and serve immediately.

Notes

Store leftovers in the refrigerator wrapped tightly in plastic wrap or in an airtight container for up to two days. Reheat in a skillet or microwave when ready to eat. You can also use leftover grilled chicken to save time.
