  • 3 cups Cooked chicken breast, shredded or diced Rotisserie chicken can be used for convenience.
  • 1 cup Diced ham Use deli ham or any leftover ham.
  • 1 cup Shredded Swiss cheese Can substitute with provolone or mozzarella.
  • 1 can Cream of chicken soup Homemade or store-bought is acceptable.
  • 1/2 cup Milk Helps keep the casserole moist.
  • 1 cup Bread crumbs Panko works great for extra crunch.
  • 2 tablespoons Butter, melted Adds flavor and helps breadcrumbs crisp up.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the cooked chicken, diced ham, shredded Swiss cheese, cream of chicken soup, and milk. Stir until well combined.
  3. Transfer the mixture to a greased 9 x 13 inch casserole dish, spreading it out evenly.
  4. In a small bowl, mix the breadcrumbs with melted butter, ensuring they’re well coated.
  5. Sprinkle the buttery breadcrumbs over the chicken mixture evenly.
  6. Place in the oven and bake for 25-30 minutes or until bubbly and golden on top.
  7. Once done, let it rest for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

For extra nutrition, add frozen mixed vegetables into the casserole. Allowing it to rest helps with serving. Broil for a couple of minutes for an extra crispy topping.
