  • 1 3/4 cups Milk Almond milk or oat milk for dairy-free.
  • 2 large Eggs Flax eggs can be used for a vegan version.
  • 1/4 cup Melted butter Coconut oil can be used for dairy-free.
  • 1 cup Fresh strawberries Use ripe and juicy strawberries.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your waffle iron according to the manufacturer's instructions.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
  3. In a separate bowl, beat the eggs, then mix in the milk and melted butter.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir gently until just mixed.
  5. Fold in the fresh strawberries.
Cooking
  1. Lightly grease the waffle iron. Pour the batter onto the hot iron and cook until golden brown and crispy, about 5 minutes.
  2. Transfer waffles to a plate and repeat with the remaining batter.

Notes

Serve warm topped with maple syrup, powdered sugar, or whipped cream. Keep cooked waffles warm in a low oven while finishing the rest. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days, or freeze for up to 3 months.
