Preparation
- Preheat your waffle iron according to the manufacturer's instructions.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
- In a separate bowl, beat the eggs, then mix in the milk and melted butter.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir gently until just mixed.
- Fold in the fresh strawberries.
Cooking
- Lightly grease the waffle iron. Pour the batter onto the hot iron and cook until golden brown and crispy, about 5 minutes.
- Transfer waffles to a plate and repeat with the remaining batter.
Notes
Serve warm topped with maple syrup, powdered sugar, or whipped cream. Keep cooked waffles warm in a low oven while finishing the rest. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days, or freeze for up to 3 months.
