Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease an 8×8-inch baking dish or line with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, mix sliced strawberries with sugar and set aside.
Mixing the Dry Ingredients
- In another bowl, whisk together rolled oats, flour, brown sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Melt the butter and pour it into the dry mixture, stirring until crumbly.
Assembling the Bars
- Press half of the oat mixture into the prepared baking dish.
- Spread the strawberry filling evenly over the crust.
- Sprinkle the remaining oat mixture on top.
Baking
- Bake for about 25-30 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.
Cooling and Serving
- Let the bars cool in the pan for at least 10 minutes before slicing.
- Serve warm or at room temperature.
Notes
Chill the bars in the fridge before slicing for cleaner edges. These bars can be served warm with whipped cream or ice cream.
