Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking dish with parchment paper.
- In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over low heat, then remove from heat.
- Stir the sugar into the melted butter until well combined.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, followed by the vanilla extract.
- Sift in the flour, cocoa powder, and a pinch of salt. Gently fold until just combined; don't overmix.
- Carefully fold in the chopped fresh strawberries and optional chocolate chips.
- Pour the brownie batter into your prepared baking dish and spread it evenly.
Baking
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with moist crumbs.
- Let the brownies cool in the pan before slicing them into squares.
Notes
Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week. Can also freeze baked brownies for up to three months. Optional toppings like sea salt or icing sugar can enhance the flavors.
