Prepare the Beef Filling
- In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium-high heat, breaking it up with a spoon. Drain off any excess grease.
- Add the diced yellow onion and cook until softened, about 3-5 minutes.
- Stir in the minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper. Cook for another minute until fragrant.
- Remove from heat and stir in the ketchup. Set aside to cool slightly.
Assemble the Bombs
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Separate the biscuit dough into 12 individual biscuits. Flatten each biscuit into a 3-4 inch circle on a lightly floured surface or directly on the baking sheet.
- Place a tablespoon of the beef mixture in the center of each flattened biscuit.
- Top the beef mixture with two quartered slices of American cheese (or one full slice, torn).
- Carefully gather the edges of the biscuit dough up and over the filling, pinching tightly to seal the seam completely. Roll gently between your palms to form a smooth ball.
- Place the sealed cheeseburger bombs seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet, ensuring they are not touching.
Bake the Bombs
- Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the biscuit dough is golden brown and cooked through.
- While the bombs are baking, prepare the garlic parmesan coating.
Prepare Garlic Parmesan Coating & Finish
- In a small microwave-safe bowl, melt the unsalted butter.
- Stir in the minced garlic and grated Parmesan cheese.
- Once the bombs are out of the oven, immediately brush them generously with the garlic parmesan butter mixture.
- Sprinkle with fresh chopped parsley, if desired, for an extra burst of flavor and color.
- Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauces like ketchup, mustard, or a special burger sauce.
Notes
For an extra kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the beef mixture. These bombs can also be cooked in an air fryer at 350°F (175°C) for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2-3 days. Reheat gently in the oven or air fryer.
