  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 2 cups Doritos chips
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or Mexican blend)
  • 1 can black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 cup salsa
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
  3. Stir in taco seasoning and cook according to the package instructions.
Layering
  1. In a large baking dish, layer half of the Doritos chips; top with half of the beef mixture, half of the black beans, and half of the salsa.
  2. Sprinkle half of the cheese on top.
  3. Repeat layers with remaining ingredients.
Baking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  2. Remove from the oven and let it sit for 5 minutes. Top with sour cream, diced tomatoes, and chopped green onions before serving.

Notes

Feel free to customize the recipe with your favorite ingredients. For added flavor, serve with extra salsa or jalapeños on the side. To store leftovers, let the casserole cool to room temperature, cover tightly, and keep in the refrigerator for up to three days. It can be frozen for longer storage.
