Ingredients
  

For the Kofta
  • 1 lb ground chicken
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped Finely chop for better flavor integration.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon cumin Adjust spices according to your taste.
  • 1 teaspoon coriander
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika Add cayenne for extra spice if desired.
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped Optional for garnishing.
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs Add more if mixture feels loose.
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
For the Garlic Yogurt Sauce
  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt Can substitute with regular yogurt or sour cream.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced For the sauce.
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a large bowl, combine ground chicken, onion, garlic, cumin, coriander, paprika, salt, pepper, parsley, breadcrumbs, and olive oil. Mix until well combined.
  2. Shape the mixture into patties.
Cooking
  1. Preheat a grill or skillet over medium heat and cook the patties for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until cooked through.
Making the Sauce
  1. For the garlic yogurt sauce, mix Greek yogurt, minced garlic, lemon juice, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
Serving
  1. Serve the chicken kofta warm on a plate with a side of garlic yogurt sauce.
  2. You can also add some fresh salad, pita bread, or rice to make a complete meal.

Notes

If you have leftovers, store the kofta and sauce separately in airtight containers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Gently warm the kofta in a skillet or microwave before serving.
