Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch springform pan.
- In a medium bowl, mix graham cracker crumbs, 1/4 cup sugar, and melted butter. Press into the bottom of the prepared pan.
- In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese, 1 cup brown sugar, and vanilla until smooth. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
- Pour the cream cheese mixture over the crust.
- In another bowl, toss the sliced apples with cinnamon and place them on top of the cream cheese layer.
- For the topping, mix oats, flour, 1/4 cup brown sugar, and 1/4 cup butter until crumbly. Sprinkle it over the apples.
- Bake for about 60-70 minutes or until set and golden.
- Allow to cool before serving.
Notes
Best served chilled or at room temperature. You can slice it into wedges and serve it plain, or add a scoop of vanilla ice cream or whipped cream on top. A sprinkle of cinnamon or a drizzle of caramel sauce can also enhance the flavors. Store covered in the refrigerator for up to 5 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
